A doctor in Karnataka, India, has been suspended after a video of his pre-wedding photoshoot in an operation theatre went viral, sparking outrage and accusations of disrespect. The video, filmed at the Bharamasagar Government Hospital in Chitradurga district, shows the doctor, identified as Abhishek, posing with his fiancée in surgical gowns, surrounded by medical equipment and professional lighting.

Abhishek, who was working on a contract basis at the hospital, is seen pretending to perform surgery on a patient while his fiancée assists him. The insensitive portrayal of a sterile medical environment for personal gain drew immediate criticism online, with many questioning the doctor's judgment and professionalism.

Reacting swiftly to the public outcry, Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao ordered Abhishek's suspension, emphasizing that "government hospitals exist for the health care of the people and not for personal work." He further declared, "I cannot tolerate such indiscipline from doctors."
